Minnesota hospitality engagement software startup Kipsu has raised an oversubscribed debt round of $900k according to CEO Christopher Smith.
The proceeds will be used to accelerate growth via hiring, starting with a Talent Manager and Market Development Rep. Smith says the company is generating significant organic revenue from hundreds of customers with 25 current full time employees right now.
The plan going forward calls for another 20-25 employees. “We’re in it for the long haul and planning to build up our Minneapolis team.”
Kipsu launched in 2011 before Smith, a former VC, took the reigns as CEO in 2014; they’ve since seen approximately $1.5m in debt capital to date.
