What does Saturn Systems do?
Saturn Systems is a software engineering firm specializing in custom web, cloud and mobile development, device integration and quality assurance services. We are well equipped to handle projects of any size, long-term staff augmentation needs and anything in between.
We understand that every project presents a unique set of requirements and challenges and that there is no “one size fits all” software solution. Our software development process has been continuously adapted and refined to create a consistent and repeatable method for delivering high-quality software solutions and predictable project outcomes.
When/why/how did Saturn Systems start?
Saturn Systems was founded in 1990 by a software engineer and is still run by engineering professionals today. The president and founder left his software job in California to return to his home town of Duluth, starting Saturn Systems with the help of a contract from his old employer.
Beginning with a focus in device control and systems integration for the federal government, Saturn Systems has since expanded to offer an array of software development services across all industry sectors.
What is unique about your Saturn Systems?
Saturn Systems is an entirely US-based software development company located in Duluth, Minnesota. We were built on a Rural Outsourcing business model that delivers our services at significantly lower rates than metro-based firms and free from the inherent difficulties of offshore providers.
Why does Saturn Systems sponsor TECHdotMN?
TECHdotMN offers the most concentrated source of Minnesota technology industry news, presumably read by that same industry. It is a great place for a company waaaay up in Duluth to gain some visibility.
How Minnesota’s tech industry could improve?
Minnesota has a growing reputation as a leader in the technology industry. Continuing to build upon that reputation and increasing efforts to maintain and improve our education system would help create and attract additional talent to fill the growing number of open positions.
