What Matters More To Minnesota Tech Founders?

by The TECHdotMN Team

Categories

We anonymously surveyed 20 unique Minnesota tech founders to learn more about what’s important to them.  The question set was mixed between personal and business questions and the founders were chosen at random to include a variety of individuals representing 10 pre and 10 post revenue startups.

For anyone wondering why we didn’t put the survey publicly out on site as usual, because it would too easy to game by non-founders. Thank you to those who took 2 minutes to participate, you know who you are and we appreciate you!

I’d like to know why this is interesting but I’m being confused by the lack of context.

What question did you have before the survey?
    How was this survey done?
    Can we see the survey?
What conclusions are you drawing from it about your hypothesis or question?

Maybe clean up the graphs to match the data. The graphs keys/labels are “Age”, “Gender”, etc but the spreadsheet says “My Age” and “My Gender”…

      Hi Jake,

What question did you have before the survey?

Here’s a link to the survey in original form – https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdNoy4ToLqm3bce-ipLcEvFcBnlAHwweZPF67eFo-1BDlYWXA/viewform?usp=sf_link

      How was this survey done?

      email

      Can we see the survey?

above – let me know if that doesn’t work, im not sure how to both close the form to responses and make the survey fully visible at the same time? plus im logged in so seeing it differently.

What conclusions are you drawing from it about your hypothesis or question?

      none right now…how about you?

Maybe clean up the graphs to match the data. The graphs keys/labels are
“Age”, “Gender”, etc but the spreadsheet says “My Age” and “My
      Gender”…

I just condensed the questions – if you’d like to take the raw data and redesign, go for it, sure it can look much better. We’re happy to update any graphics with credit!

Hi Jeff, the survey link doesn’t seem to be working, and I’d also be interested in seeing the questions.

I’m a little unclear myself. Are the questions in regards to hiring people? What is “pre” and “post” mean?

    • http://tech.mn Jeff Pesek

Hi Nathan – yes, even confusing at times, though it’s clear what’s more important to them.

      Pre/post revenue.
