Hack The Heat Is Coming Back For More

Hack The Heat is coming back this year, a 24 hour hackathon focused on bringing high school students ages 12-18 together together to make, do and create.

It will be held at SPS Commerce from 12pm to 12pm on August 19-20, because “They are thinking about the future,” says organizer Luke Igel.

The high school senior and self-taught programmer launched last year with then partner Will Walcher, who has since moved away.

They pulled over 40 students together for the inaugural event held at The Commons Workplace in Excelsior.

“Students came from all over the state,” Igel explains.  “It’s great for those interested in programming and developing to gain early exposure and confidence.”

What a natural born leader, let’s hope he sticks around…
