Plymouth IoT Venture Nimbelink Closes on $1.1m Investment

Plymouth headquartered NimbeLink is raising a $1.5m equity round with $1.1m closed, according to this SEC disclosure.

Nimbelink was formed in 2013 by cofounders Scott Schwalbe and Kurt Larson to develop and market cellular IoT/M2M products for OEM customers endpoint solutions.

Funding will be used to drive further adoption of their white label Nimbelink asset tracking solution — one of many homegrown products under development, including their popular Skywire family of cellular modems.

The 17 person company was a 2013 MN Cup semifinalist and has been fundraising off and on over the years, with a $2.5m round in 2016 from Fist Analysis representing their single largest round; it is estimated that Nimbelink has cumulatively raised $5m to date.
