“MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — GoKart Labs, an innovation consultancy and digital business incubator, today announced the hiring of Angie Swatfager as the company’s first Chief Financial Officer. Working from GoKart’s main headquarters in downtown Minneapolis, she will be focused on financial strategy and growth opportunities as well as operational priorities.”
“Due to our strong growth, recent expansion to Washington, D.C., and accelerated investment in GoKart Ventures, this is an ideal time for GoKart to add a CFO to our senior leadership team,” said Don Smithmier, GoKart Labs’ CEO and co-founder. “Angie’s demonstrated acumen in both strategic finance and operations make her the perfect fit. I’m thrilled to be adding someone with her energy and talent.”
Before joining GoKart, Swatfager honed her financial leadership skills at companies including Capella University and MinuteClinic, which was acquired by CVS Health. In recent years, she has applied her expertise in the startup sector, helping new companies navigate emerging marketplace priorities and address barriers to growth.
“My passion lies in growing companies, plain and simple,” Swatfager said. “Looking at GoKart’s unique strengths, infrastructure, and relationships in both the entrepreneurial community and the world of enterprise, I see a fantastic opportunity to apply my skills. Personally and professionally, I’m excited to help take it to the next level.”
