Stella (Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota) and Aging 2.0 Minneapolis are teaming up to get with the healthtech industry through The Aging Startup Challenge.
“The Aging Startup Challenge is looking for applicants who are developing interesting solutions, products, or services for the aging population and ecosystem,” explains the basis for the competitive event with a $25,000 no-strings-attached purse for the winner.
“We’re looking for any and all applicants working in the space,” says spokesperson Tallis Boyd. “They could come from right here in Minneapolis or anywhere from around the country.”
Stella is the relatively new name for the parent company of insurance co. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and also the investment arm, having funded such local tech startups as Retrace Health and Learn To Live. Aging 2.0 is a national network of individuals “taking on the biggest challenges and opportunities in aging”.
Their live pitch + judging event will be hosted at TreeHouse Health on Feb 15th and applications are due by January 13th.
