What distinct problem does this solve for who and how does this create value for them?
Land.MN is a real estate marketplace for developers and prospective owners who want broader access to capital. For the prospective real estate investors, it allows them to diversity and invest more efficiently on a local level. For both parties, the goal is to increase financial return, decrease overhead/headache, and connect investors with entrepreneurs.
How did you come up with the idea and what was your motivation for starting?
Real estate crowdfunding platforms have raised billions of dollars for accredited investors in recent years. However, there is not until now a platform that is focused on the non-accredited investors (97%). Our motivation is to allow all Minnesotan’s with the means to access investable real estate opportunities.
What is your big picture plan and vision for the future?
Our goal is to have multiple areas of the site focused on: commercial, retail, residential, multi-family, vacation, undeveloped land, etc. and to expand nationally. With that, a future whereby Minnesotans can use Land.MN to make their first of many real estate investments to build wealth, diversify assets, and support local development.
What is the full launch/release date planned?
We are aiming for the first investment opportunity listed in the first quarter.

What is the specific technology or combination of technologies is used?
We are leveraging the Silicon Prairie Portal and Exchange blockchain stack.
Who is the customer and what is your revenue model?
The customers are real estate owners and investors; our model is to take a stake in each offering.
What is the size/scope of your market and how will you scale?
Many billions. Theoretically, it spans the gambit of any and all real estate – residential and commercial – across the entire state of Minnesota.
What is your greatest strength?
Our partnership team has deep expertise in three different complimentary areas — real estate, technology, and securities.
What is your biggest weakness?
Disrupting a conservative and status-quo real estate marketplace.
