“Minneapolis – When you’re on a mission to develop the world’s first and only ECRM—an ecommerce-specific CRM that connects your order management system with your marketing system at the customer level—it’s critical to have the best technologists with ecommerce experience on board. Today, Drip announced that Steve Brain has joined the executive leadership team as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).”

Steve brings more than 25 years of hands-on experience in software development and a proven track record of engineering leadership. Steve cut his ecommerce teeth by spending seven years running large engineering teams at Amazon.com and as VP Engineering at Backcountry.com, one of the world’s largest online specialty retailers for outdoor recreation.

Steve also has deep experience building large scale SaaS platforms from when he led engineering and professional services at Qualtrics, an enterprise research platform and at InsideSales.com, a sales acceleration platform, where he was CTO and Chief Product Officer.

“Building an ECRM that delights e-commerce retailers and their consumers equally is no small feat,” said Drip CEO, John Tedesco. “With the addition of Steve to our team, we will leverage his rich experiences at some of the best e-commerce and SaaS brands in the world to make our ambitious vision a reality.”

As CTO, Steve will lead all product, UX and engineering functions for both Drip, and its sister company Leadpages – the world’s most popular landing page platform. Steve will also lead the establishment of Drip’s Silicon Slopes office in the Salt Lake City area of Utah. The company will open offices there in Q2 2018 in order to tap into the extraordinary development talent pool that is driving the growth of Utah’s tech scene.
