Target Shifts Cloud Computing Business To Google

Target Corp. is shifting some of its cloud-computing business to Google, a move that follows reports that the retailer wanted to scale back its relationship with Amazon Web Services. Minneapolis-based Target is “migrating three areas of its business to Google Cloud platform,” said Google CEO Sundar Pichai during an earnings call Monday. Mike McNamara — Target’s executive vice president, chief information and digital officer — is also a speaker at the Google Cloud Next conference Tuesday.”
