CommonGrounds ‘Workplace-As-A-Service’ B2B Coworking Is Coming To Downtown Minneapolis

Southern-California’s CommonGrounds Workspace is coming to Minneapolis this year and signed a lease at the former TCF Bank atrium building at 801 Marquette Ave.

A paywalled article in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal says that CommonGrounds committed to an 11-year lease for 27,500 square feet on the skyway level of the building with a $2.7 million buildout is underway, according to city building permits.

The Carlsbad headquartered coworking company got started in 2016 and opened a handful of flexible spaces targeting corporate clients “of all sizes and growth trajectories.”  Earlier this week they reported closing $100m series A for rapid expansion beyond their current footprint and into 40 new markets including downtown Minneapolis.

“Our enterprise-grade hackable environments provide a solution for Fortune 1500 companies to use workplace-as-a-service as a strategic portfolio solution to scale and evolve their real estate footprint in an enterprise brandable environment that adapts to shape to the demands of their clients, their business strategies and their talent,” said CEO Jacob Bates.

The company is currently seeking to hire a Workplace Manager at the forthcoming venue.
