OnRamp Insurance Conference Moves From Chicago To Minneapolis

Categories

After three years at Soldier Field in Chicago, the OnRamp Insurance Conference is coming to Minneapolis’ Target Center on April 11th.

The change in location is a result of an newly established three year partnership between gener8tor, Allianz Life and Securian Financial who are teaming up on the new Onramp Insurance Accelerator coming to the Twin Cities for InsureTech startups.

Gener8tor’s Zac Tretow says the 2018 conference attracted over 1,000 attendees in Chicago with goals of topping that figure this year in Minnesota:

“The OnRamp Insurance Conference brings together the insurance industry’s leading corporations, investors and startups. The conference highlights innovations disrupting the insurance industry, the leaders making such innovations possible and how new technologies and business models will reinvent the industry.”

“We wanted to make sure that this was a dealmaking conference,” says Tretow.  To that extent, over 200 global insurance startups have already applied to participate in the ‘startup track’ whereby they could be paired for 1:1 meetings with various Insurance + Insuretech corporate representatives in attendance — naturally including Minneapolis HQ Allianz Life Ventures.

Tickets to the conference start at $500 but Tretow says that any startups who apply for the startup track will automatically receive 2 free tickets to attend OnRamp, regardless of whether or not they end up booking any such meetings.

The application window for the pending Onramp Insurance Accelerator is open until April 28th with the goal of running an inaugural program here in the Twin Cities for 5-6 select InsureTech startups over this summer.
