Tech-enabled lunch delivery startup Foodsby has crossed the 100 employee mark and is planning to move headquarters this year.
The company was cofounded in 2012 by CEO Ben Cattoor who leads the team of 104 full time employees, predominantly found inside their current Northeast Minneapolis headquarters at 3001 Broadway St.
From humble beginnings delivering food from the likes of Arby’s, Chipotle, and Subway to nearby offices around the West End, Foodsby has successfully leveraged technology to optimize ordering and logistics in such a way they now operate in over 150 cities across 18 US markets.
In 2015 Foodsby set out to raise $800k, followed by a million, and then came six million; Piper Jaffray led their largest round to date — $15m closed last year. All in, the venture has raised roughly $21 million which pegs it at #17th most funded Minnesota tech firm right now.
With the growth that Foodsby is experiencing they are preparing to upsize their office footprint in 2019.
Marketing VP Jeff Snyder says it’s inevitable for them to move this year. “We’re bursting at the seams and will move to either permanent or temporary space in the next few months,” he says, though unsure where the company will land as that is currently under consideration by management.
