SportsTech Startup Player’s Health Scores Equity Investment

Minneapolis SportsTech startup Player’s Health is raising further equity investment according to this SEC disclosure.


The venture was formed in 2015 by founder and CEO Tyrre Burks who moved to Minnesota from Chicago to debut the platform initially for youth athletics health and wellness tracking.  After raising some early investment and evolving, the company joined the Techstars Accelerator, then earlier this year partnered with Hub International “to help organizations monitor and report injuries and abuse; establish protocols to mitigate risks; and improve the overall health and safety of athletes.”

Found at 701 N 3 St. in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis, Linkedin says Player’s Health has 15 employees and our recotds estimated they have raised between $1m-$2m cumulative capital to date counting this fresh $140k.
