Techstars Farm to Fork to Celebrate Demo Day on October 15

By guest contributor Stephanie Rich, the founder and editor-in-chief of Starting Up North and Mentor-in-Residence at Techstars Farm to Fork

Farm to Fork LogoThree months in an accelerator can seem like three years to any startup: teams grow, business models change and major deals close. This holds particularly true for the ten teams presenting pitches at the Techstars Farm to Fork Demo Day on October 15. At the event, a founder from each team will spend a short time sharing the story of their company and the value they provide. Tickets for the evening event are now available for free to the public.

Brett Brohl, the program’s Managing Director explains, “Demo Day is the culmination of 13-weeks of hard work by these startups from around the world.” The 2019 class comes from across the country and even across the globe, with teams from India, Israel, Australia and Canada.

The event will be held at the Union Depot in St. Paul, MN during Twin Cities Startup Week. Doors for the event will open at 5pm, with pitches beginning at 6pm. All attendees will have a chance to talk with the participating teams at a Startup Showcase that will directly follow the pitch-presentations.

Partnered with Cargill and Ecolab, Techstars Farm to Fork brings innovative companies from across the food value chain to Minnesota. The accelerator, based at the Osborn370 building, is part of Techstars, the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed.

As Brohl says, “If you’re at all interested in what the food tech industry is going to look like in 5 years, you should be in St. Paul on October 15 to check out what innovators are building right here in the Twin Cities.”
