BETA Startup Showcase: Enlight

BETA Startup: Enlight LogoThe TECHdotMN team would like to introduce you to each of the startups featured in the upcoming BETA showcase. Over the next couple of weeks, we will highlight each company, so you can get a better idea of the talent, hardwork, and dedication held within each of these startups.

The next company in our BETA Startup Showcase series is: Enlight

Enlight helps teachers better understand their students, so they can provide better differentiated instructions.

Tell us the story of how and why you started the company.
The story of Enlight started when I moved to America not knowing English or anyone besides my family. It was my teachers who not only helped me learn, but they taught me so much about life. I quickly found that the more that I opened to my teachers, the easier the classes became and the more impact that they made on my life. I believe that everyone has that one teacher or adult who once made an impact in their life. But teachers don’t really start impacting students until the middle or the end of the semester. This is because the teacher is simply trying to understand their students in order to make the most impact. But when teachers finally build meaningful relationships with their students and can successfully differentiate their curriculum; it is usually too late. That’s why I built Enlight and why it is my mission to help every teacher know their students, so they can successfully differentiate instructions for their students.

What’s your most recent success or milestone hit?
We are BETA Testing in schools all over the U.S. We recently closed our BETA and we currently have more teachers on a waitlist.

Where to you see your startup in one year?
I see my startup helping teachers make a real impact on their students both in their lives and academically. I hope to make this impact global in one year!
