HelpSystems Expands Cybersecurity Portfolio With Latest Acquisition

HelpSystems understands how crucial cybersecurity is for any business dealing in sensitive information. With its latest acquisition of UK-based Clearswift, the Eden Prairie company also seems to understand that security can’t come at the expense of collaborative communication.

Clearswift specializes in deep-content inspection, allowing businesses to send and receive information all while it’s securely scanned by the software, and is currently used by more than 1,700 organizations across more than 70 countries. With this measure in place, teams can effectively communicate through email and other web-based avenues while complying with standards such as payment card industry (PCI), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

“Clearswift’s unique product strengths are critical cornerstones of the overall cybersecurity strategies for its customers and are often used together with other cybersecurity solutions,” said Ciaran Rafferty, Managing Director, Clearswift, in a statement on the acquisition. “We are confident we have found the perfect home for Clearswift and believe HelpSystems will continue to drive the products and business forward.”
