Target Announces Product-Focused Target Takeoff Program

If you’ve been concocting a new and improved paper towel or have been brewing up a powerful and eco-friendly detergent, your time is now. Target has announced Target Takeoff, a new accelerator with a product focus aimed at emerging brands.

The five-week program, which has seen graduates such as Finess and Lia, kicks off with a week of mentor meetings, workshops, and more at Target HQ. Then, participants will head back to their own offices for the next four weeks to work on the product while virtually connecting with their mentor team. The program ends with a demo day where you’ll be able to show off your progress. Target will also issue a warrant that might be converted into equity if the participant company and the retail juggernaut reach a commercial agreement.

As is typical for these times, Target is also watching the COVID-19 situation and is developing plans for a virtual-only program. As of now, however, the program is slated to be conducted normally.
