MINNEAPOLIS, MN – DATE – Effective October 19, 2020, Jacob Hookom started at Four51 as Chief Product Officer. Hookom will be responsible for the strategic product direction for Four51 OrderCloud, Four51’s API-first, headless eCommerce platform, including product vision, innovation, design, development, and go-to-market strategy.

Hookom is a veteran leader of enterprise digital transformation. He spent the past 17+ years managing the architecture, analytics, and strategy for McKesson’s B2B eCommerce and Customer Technology team in North America, representing many of the digital channels attributing to McKesson’s $230 billion annual revenue. He led a cohesive approach across a multitude of markets, including complex health systems, surgery centers, home health, retailers, lab, online resellers, and consumer marketplaces.

Mark Johnson, CEO at Four51, remarked that “the entire team at Four51 is thrilled to welcome Jake to the team. He is a visionary B2B eCommerce product executive who can ensure Four51 continues to innovate it’s industry leading API-first headless platform OrderCloud.” As Chief Product Officer, Hookom will lead Four51’s product development strategy and work in sync with both the Tech and Business Development teams to take the OrderCloud platform to the next level. “I expect Jake to play an integral role in the next phase of Four51’s success,” Johnson said.

Hookom’s experience leading digital transformation leads him to believe that the Four51 OrderCloud platform is well positioned to replicate success for other companies who are currently tied to traditional, enterprise systems. “B2B commerce is often shackled with complex problems that technology won’t quite fit,” Hookom explained. “But I’ve seen the companies that approach it right – with future-proof technology and strategy – create a multiplier of value for entrance into other markets, creating whole new growth trajectories.”

As Chief Product Officer, Hookom is on a mission to help enterprises see that “Success is achieved when you stop just thinking about the “B2B website” you need to build today, and consider how your technology decisions will allow you to capitalize on the emerging channels of tomorrow. This is why I was drawn to Four51– the OrderCloud platform and customer first mentality has established a track record to build upon that multiplier strategy for enterprises.”
