Octavian Tarcea — previously senior director of software engineering at UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) — takes on the CTO role at When I Work this week.

Tarcea has two decades of experience at workforce management software companies, including Cybershift, Workbrain, Infor, Ultimate Software and most recently at UKG (formed when Ultimate Software and Kronos merged in 2020). In 2010, he co-founded EmployTouch Inc., which was acquired by Ultimate Software in 2013.
