Minneapolis, Minnesota – May 11, 2021 –When I Work, a market leader in shift-based workforce management software used by nearly 200,000 workplaces worldwide, announces the addition of a chief technology officer to the company’s leadership team. Octavian Tarcea — previously senior director of software engineering at UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) — takes on the CTO role at When I Work this week.

Tarcea has two decades of experience at workforce management software companies, including Cybershift, Workbrain, Infor, Ultimate Software and most recently at UKG (formed when Ultimate Software and Kronos merged in 2020). In 2010, he co-founded EmployTouch Inc., which was acquired by Ultimate Software in 2013.
