Claros Technologies Raises $5.3 Million Series A

What to know about the latest raise from Claros Technologies:

  • Claros Technologies, a St. Paul-based company that develops “green chemistry” solutions to neutralize pollution, has raised $5.3 million
    • The round was led by 3×5 Partners and included the University of Minnesota’s Discovery Capital (the company is a spinoff of the University) and $1.5 million in funds raised earlier in the year
    • The secured funds mark the company’s first venture capital round
  • According to the Star Tribune, the funds will allow the company to, “commercialize products that neutralize harmful pollution and disease with filtration products and functional textiles for medical garb, uniforms and linens that combat viruses”
