gBETA Medtech is Seeking Black Founders for Fall 2021 Cohort

What to know about applications for gBETA Medtech:

  • Applications are now open for gBETA Medtech, the Minnesota-based accelerator by gener8tor
  • The free, seven-week accelerator (October 18, 2021 through December 9, 2021) is seeking Black founders in the healthcare industry and, for the first time, will offer a $10,000 grant to each company chosen for the program (with support from Boston Scientific)
  • Participants will receive, “intensive, individualized coaching and access to gener8tor’s national network of mentors, customers, corporate partners and investors.”
  • To qualify for the accelerator, companies will need to fit at least one of these criteria
    • “One or more individuals with the title of “Founder,” “Co-Founder” or “CEO” identifies as Black or African American”
    • “At least 20 percent of the equity ownership is held by one or more individuals who identify as Black or African American and such individuals have a significant role in the decision-making process”
  • The deadline for applications is August 31, 2021
