“After more than a year as the sole occupant of the Millwright office building it constructed in the East Town district of downtown Minneapolis, Ryan. Cos. has finally snagged a new officemate.

Rally Health, a digital healthcare company, has signed a lease agreement at Millwright, said Tony Barranco, senior vice president of real estate development at Ryan Cos. Rally Health didn’t respond to requests for comment Thursday.”

Updated 6/29/18: A paywalled report indicates that the company is moving forward on 8k ft. at 4950 W 35th St. in St. Louis Park, tentatively scheduled for August with “A lounge space and several semi-private virtual reality lounges with the business focusing on entertainment offerings, drinks and food at night, and partnering with local schools for educational programs during the day.”

Meanwhile, Voxel just expanded and Salt Lake City franchise The VOID is also coming to Mpls.

The Void, known for elaborate virtual reality productions based on Ghostbusters and Star Wars, is opening nine new locations. The Utah-based company announced today that it’s opening “experience centers” in Atlanta, Georgia; Austin, Texas; Dallas, Texas; Hollywood, California; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New York City; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Santa Monica, California; and Washington, DC. This brings the total number of centers up to 17, mostly but not exclusively in the United States. The company says it hopes to open more centers globally in the future; right now, it has branches in London, Dubai, and Toronto.”

“WeWork, the well-heeled shared-workspace company, is aiming to land more Twin Cities tech startups as clients by offering free space in the Capella Tower in downtown Minneapolis.

The New York-based company on Thursday will announce an initiative with Beta.MN, a nonprofit organization that promotes and supports local tech firms, to identify and sort companies to establish a temporary office in some of the workspaces that WeWork offers at its Capella site.”

Life Time Wants To Break Into Minnesota’s Coworking Scene Next Year

“Life Time is extending its “healthy way of life” philosophy into the office. The Chanhassen-based fitness center giant announced Monday that it will open several co-working offices in the Twin Cities.

“Life Time Work is a premium, shared workspace designed for the pursuit of a healthy and fulfilling work life,” Bahram Akradi, the company’s founder and chief executive, wrote in an e-mail to local members.”
