“WeWork, the well-heeled shared-workspace company, is aiming to land more Twin Cities tech startups as clients by offering free space in the Capella Tower in downtown Minneapolis.

The New York-based company on Thursday will announce an initiative with Beta.MN, a nonprofit organization that promotes and supports local tech firms, to identify and sort companies to establish a temporary office in some of the workspaces that WeWork offers at its Capella site.”

Life Time Wants To Break Into Minnesota’s Coworking Scene Next Year

“Life Time is extending its “healthy way of life” philosophy into the office. The Chanhassen-based fitness center giant announced Monday that it will open several co-working offices in the Twin Cities.

“Life Time Work is a premium, shared workspace designed for the pursuit of a healthy and fulfilling work life,” Bahram Akradi, the company’s founder and chief executive, wrote in an e-mail to local members.”

Proto Labs Gets Corporate Welfare Money From Taxpayers For Brooklyn Park Building

“ST. PAUL – Custom manufacturer Protolabs Inc. will invest $29.9 million to expand to a new site in Brooklyn Park.

The Maple Plain-based company has purchased a 152,000-square-foot building in Brooklyn Park and plans to add another 50,000 square feet to the structure. The investment also includes additional manufacturing equipment to support anticipated future growth. Company officials said they will move their CNC machining operations from Plymouth to the new site, while retaining the Plymouth facility for their injection molding operations.”
