MBOLD Announces Latest Bold Growth Cohort

The MBOLD coalition has picked a new crop of Minnesota ag companies for the 2022 Bold Growth Program.

The four Minnesota-based companies are (with descriptions from MBOLD):

  • Local Crate, a restaurant quality meal solutions company with locally sourced food and a focus on environmental sustainability.
  • Step One Foods, developer of a nutrition based, scientific approach to heart health that helps support healthy cholesterol levels naturally through its small meals and snacks.
  • Hidrate Spark, a developer of a smart water bottle system that helps people develop healthy hydration habits by tracking water intake and progress through a smart phone app.
  • Bizzy Coffee, back for a second year in the Bold Growth program, is an organic, sustainably produced cold brew coffee company, and is Amazon’s No. 1 selling cold brew.

Designed to accelerate the success of high-growth food and ag companies, the Bold Growth program gives its participating companies access to a network of mentor businesses including General Mills, Cargill, Target, Land O' Lakes, Schwan's Co. and others.  Over the course of the 12-18 month program, MBOLD will work with the cohort companies to, "identify each company’s unique needs, design an engagement plan to support those needs, and secure on-going advisory support from the right experts within MBOLD’s network."

This MBOLD program is led by Grow North and Agricultural Utilization Research Institute with additional support this year from the State of Minnesota Launch MN program.
