OurFamilyWizard Acquires Family Organization App Cozi

Minneapolis-based co-parenting app company OurFamilyWizard has announced the acquisition of Cozi, a family organizing app, from Dotdash Meredith. Financial details of the acquisition weren’t disclosed.

“For more than 20 years, OFW has provided a central hub for peaceful co-parenting, empowering parents with tools to keep their children's world turning,” OurFamilyWizard CEO Nick VanWagner said in a release. “With the addition of Cozi, we will expand upon that mission even further by providing the go-to destination to help families of all types. This will enable us to positively impact more families regardless of where they are on their journeys.”

Cozi offers a range of organizational tools including schedule management, grocery shopping lists, meal planning, household chore management, and more. OurFamilyWizard says the addition of the service will compliment the company’s suite of co-parenting offerings.

The acquisition comes about two years after OurFamilyWizard announced a “significant growth equity investment” from Spectrum Equity. VanWager, who previously served in positions at LinkedIn and When I Work, was announced as the company’s new CEO at that time. You can hear more form VanWagner on The tech.mn Podcast.
