Spring 2022 Walleye Tank Applications Are Open

Calling all healthcare-focused startups.

walleyetank-1Much like its winter-themed sister event, the Spring 2022 Walleye Tank features an adorable logo — a lil walleye sporting a flowery bucket hat. It's great.

But that's not why we're here! Cute logos aside, applications are officially open for the Spring 2022 Walleye Tank pitch competition. On May 27, 2022, a group of healthcare-focused startups will do their thing for the Walleye Tank attendees in hopes of taking home a chunk of the $20,000 in prize money (thanks to sponsorships from the Mayo Clinic Office of Entrepreneurship and the University of Minnesota Medical School).

"I run a healthcare-focused startup!" you say while surrounded by white coats and bunsen burners (I assume).

Great! Which of these three divisions do you fit into?

Junior anglers

This cohort is for entrepreneurs in the early stages of business development. Junior anglers have normally not yet incorporated their company or completed their minimum viable product (mvp).

Mid-level reelers

This division is for incorporated companies that are in the early stages of fundraising. Normally, mid-level reelers do not have active sales or revenue but they have a completed mvp.

Participants in the professional division represent established life science business with active sales and have normally completed at least one round of funding. These competitors are often companies that have previously competed in one of the other two walleye tank divisions and have been invited back.

Once you've decided, you can submit your application here. But act quickly — all applications are due by May 8!
