Player’s Health, a local startup based out of COCO and founded by Tyrre Burks, has been selected by Google for Entrepreneurs as a finalist for Google Demo Day on Wednesday, May 4 at Google Headquarters in Mountain View, California.

Representing the Twin Cities and the local COCO community, he will have the opportunity to pitch his platform to a room full of top investors, VCs and judges for a chance to secure Series A funding of $1-4M. Player’s Health is used by more than 310,000 athletes.”

CoCo Is Closing Down In Fargo

“After about a 10-month run, the CoCo collaborative and co-working space in downtown Fargo will close its doors as of Friday, a CoCo official said over the weekend.

However, supporters of Fargo as an entrepreneurial hotspot say an effort is underway to maintain a collaborative and co-working space here using a different pricing structure than the one used by CoCo, which Fargo officials described as too expensive for the type of startups working in Fargo.”

Minneapolis, April 6, 2015COCO and Matchstick Ventures are combining forces to give startups more exposure to funding and education about startup financing.

The partnership calls for Matchstick Ventures to headquarter out of COCO’s downtown Minneapolis space and hold regular open office hours, where entrepreneurs can seek advice on their business ideas and growth plans. Matchstick Ventures will host and have a presence at COCO events, including workshops, lunch and learns and happy hours. Matchstick Ventures will also give local entrepreneurs exposure to prominent startup founders and investors who visit the Twin Cities.

“Introducing the BizSpark Fellowship Beginning this month, Microsoft is launching a BizSpark Fellowship, hosted at CoCo. The BizSpark Fellowship includes a sponsored medium campsite space at CoCo Uptown, a grant of $60,000 of Azure hosting credits, two Surface Pro 3 PCs to use during the fellowship and access to Microsoft Ventures coaching and pitch events around the region.
