BETA Startup Showcase: SupDoc

BETA Startup: SupDoc LogoThe TECHdotMN team would like to introduce you to each of the startups featured in the upcoming BETA showcase. Over the next couple of weeks, we will highlight each company, so you can get a better idea of the talent, hardwork, and dedication held within each of these startups.

The next company in our BETA Startup Showcase series is: SupDoc

SupDoc is a messaging-based, direct-to-consumer virtual health app that empowers on-the-go users to ditch the complicated health system and get efficient care anywhere

Tell us the story of how and why you started your company.
Our team has worked in healthcare for the last decade and we have been consistently frustrated by the industry’s inability to change and meet the needs of a new generation. The current healthcare system can be a nightmare and without a workaround, most people get stuck wasting time, money, and their last bit of patience. We believe that there is a better way so we have designed the beginning of a health system that’s truly for humans… people like us who have better things to do than pay to sit with a clipboard, fuming in a plague ridden waiting room. The current healthcare system wasn’t built for us; we’re working hard to design one that is.

Building something that is truly simple and human in healthcare is a challenge. We engaged some of the best doctors, lawyers, programmers and health system experts to create something pragmatic and new that works for all players. It hasn’t been easy, but the toughest thing in a complicated industry is to make something simple.

What’s your most recent success or milestone hit?
The design and launch of our first virtual health product in Minnesota in preparation for the fall college semester.

Where do you see your startup in 1 year?
We strive to have an enhanced product based on user feedback that treats more issues and is available across the state.
